2 stars review as I was getting ghosted! What prompted me to finally leave this review was my last conversation with Darren after the sale of my property. After raising several concerns, his final response was simply, “my bad.” Up until the last two weeks before settlement, my experience with Grantham had generally been positive. They managed my investment property for around two years, and apart from one earlier issue where Darren forgot to advise me that the tenant had requested to pay rent late (which resulted in me receiving a bank dishonour fee), I was reasonably happy with the service. Unfortunately, everything changed during the settlement process. Without my knowledge or permission, Darren gave the purchaser access to my apartment while I was still the legal owner. I only became aware of this after being copied into correspondence between solicitors while I was overseas. According to the written communication and discussions with the Owners Corporation committee member, the purchaser was given access over an WHOLE weekend and brought tradespeople through the property. The issue wasn’t simply that access was provided, it was that I was never asked for my consent. As the owner, I believe that decision should have been mine. This unauthorised access also contributed to several pre-settlement issues that arose the following week. When I became aware of what had happened, I emailed Darren expressing my concerns, asking why it had occurred, and explaining how disappointed I was. I never received a response. I chose to let it go until settlement, hoping we could finish the transaction professionally. Instead, settlement came and went without a phone call. I had to follow up the next day to ask what the next steps were regarding the deposit funds, and it took another 24 hours to receive a response. THIS IS 48hrs AFTER SETTLEMENT When I again raised my concerns about the unauthorised access and lack of communication, Darren’s response was, “What’s the big deal? She wanted to show her kids.” After I explained that the purchaser had actually been given access for tradespeople, his final response was simply, “my bad.” Once the settlement funds were transferred and I received my statement of account, I never received a follow-up call to close out what had been a two-year business relationship. It’s disappointing because, for the majority of our relationship, I trusted Grantham to manage my investment property and later entrusted them with its sale. I genuinely hope this was an isolated lapse in judgement, communication and professionalism, because sellers deserve to be consulted about who is given access to a property they still legally own.

Just completed my settlement for the sale of an apartment which I’m utterly disappointed with their unprofessional service for below 2 simple reasons:- 1. Providing wrong information that electrical/gas are not subscribed to an embedded service 2. Ignoring my repeated requests to advise the NMI/MIRN for new electrical/gas connection giving excuses that this info has been sent when the seller hv actually confirmed that it's embedded with an electrical supplier since 2 mths ago. This delay took almost 2 months which resulted to my inability to arrange for electricity connection with the embedded provider.

I had the pleasure of renting through Grantham Real Estate over the last 2.5 years and I have been extremely happy with the service of Darren and Belinda. They are excellent at their jobs and also extremely personable and kind. I wish I could continue renting through them! I highly recommend Grantham Real Estate to anyone looking to buy or rent.
